He's not posting for months and then he returns with a meme?
Yep, he is. Take it less as a sign of life and more as a sign of ... undeadness? Saw this all over the place and figured it might be a nice idea. :]

1) Who are you?
2) Are we friends?
3) When and how did we meet?
4) Would you kiss me?
5) Give me a nickname and explain why.
6) Describe me in one word.
7) What was your first impression of me?
8) Do you still think the same?
9) What reminds you of me?
10) If you could give me anything, what would it be?
11) How well do you know me?
12) Are you gonna put this in your journal and see what I say about you?
13) Would you meet up with me?

Expect a bigger update from me this weekend. :] I've been very busy these last few weeks and there's gonna be even more work ahead of me, but I need to get you guys updated at least once in a while eh? ;]

The Blue Menace

About time for an update again eh? ... yeah way about time. The last few weeks have been very busy here in good ways and in bad ways... fortunately the good ways kind of outweighed the bad ways lately. ;]  As my semester was drawing to an end more and more work piled up on me, and the bit fo free time I had, I invested into this big blue baby:

... well that and eating and sleeping. ;P My classes ended right the week before Eurofurence and with  [info]lupineangel ,  [info]jaeger_fuchs  and [info]tig_wolf  around, our apartment turned into a zoo... and it was a blast. ^^ As was EF. Having a fullbody suit this year around doubled the fun. :] Met lots of old friends again, met new ones and had a good time in general. Since I'm not a fan of typing too much (read: lazy), I'll instead insert a flood of photos here. As they say: "A picture says more than a thousand words and who the hell wants to listen to you anyways?" None of those photos were taken by me, but I'll make sure to give credit to the guys that were kind enough to waste cameraspace on me. ;]

Update...
Woah... been quite a while since I posted here, eh? ... yeah alright... 14 months. <..< Well a lot has been happening lately and I've been quite busy, actually I still am quite bust but figured it was about time I updated here again. (read: The sore spots in my sides from Susi and Rogue poking me about updating this thing, finally started bleeding.)

My studies here are pretty involved and although the possibility of getting my bachelor degree after 3 years already sounded pretty nice, the schedule that comes along with it, is anything but nice. I probably would have lost my last bit of sanity by now, if it wasn't for my wolfy coming here at the end of july.

I don't want to go into details too much as to how complicated it was to arrange Susi's schooling in Frankfurt, getting his visa, finding an apartment etc. because that's not what people are interested in anyways... so instead I'll just post a few photos and pics with comments.  Enjoy!

Further updates will follow... hopefully.
*gets poked by Susi* Okay okay... they will follow CERTAINLY!

Perfectly fitting for Halloween...
... I rise from my grave to haunt you. <..<
Aloha. I know it's been ages since I have posted here, but life has been really busy for me... and I mean really really busy. :P After I got readjusted back here in Germany I worked at a sucky job for about two months in order to fill my bank account again. Basically I had to translate form papers and check on poll results from overseas that the company I worked for received. It was very boring, but paid fairly well, so I shouldn't complain. After that I had a few days to look through my university stuff and prepare for my upcoming classes.

Now and most likely for the next three years I'm enrolled at the Justus-Liebig-University in a city close to my hometown. It sure as hell isn't as beautiful of a university as Hilo, but I guess only few universities can compare to that. I'm in the middle of my fourth week there and they are not going easy on us. Don't want to go into detail about everything, but I have up to 40 hours of classes (labs + lectures) each week and about two hours of transit each day.... and that as you can imagine makes for a very tired dragon. The stress level is rising and rising and according to some people who are further up in their studies it will keep on doing so each month.

Despite this amount of stress and the lack of chance to relax (or lack of a certain wolf to relax with) I hope I will be able to rearrange my schedule a bit so the other important things in my life don't drop into the background... my friends, my family, my art etc. I plan to start posting here regulary again, if i don't do so, please do me a favor and kick my butt to do so. I know i can be really bad with that. I'll try to be online more often and also work more on art... I miss just relaxing a bit with a pencil and a piece of paper (and not using those to takes notes for a lecture).

Also I think I need to apologize to many people I havn't talked to regulary in a while, some of them who really needed more support than I was able to give to them. I've not been the best of friends, I know... I promise to better myself.

oh well... Hope you guys have a scary Halloween!

Italy, the new Champion
Well that's it. The World Cup ends with a pretty exciting (yet not the best in my eyes) game and the new champion's name is: Italy. Congrats. We won the world cup 1990 in Italy, so it's just fair they got it here... still shame on them for kicking Germany out. ;P

With this last game, the bet ends as well and here we have the final score of those who took part in it.

Congrats to DF, [info]lupineangel who managed to get a nice 4 point bonus during these last two games and also congrats to [info]kinuki who had the higest score from the beginning... up to the last game. Sorry buddy. : / Great work from Lai and Vic as well... Just ignore the loser on place 6. ;P
So DF you won a free commission, up to your liking, whatever you would like, contact me via e-mail and let me know what you want. I'll see what I can do. ;) Dunno how long it will take, but it should be done by the next world cup. XP

The last 4 weeks have been great, the country drowning in a wave of euphoria and flags. I'm glad I was able to experience this first hand. Hope it's not right back to daily life again tomorrow. ^^

Yeah it's slowly but surely coming to an end. France will meet Italy in the final, Germany will play against Portugal for the third place. I already know these two games will be awesome. Can't wait to watch them. ^^

Kinuki still leading the list, but DF and Lai getting pretty close... just as exciting as the world cup itself. ;P

Que sera sera...
Yeah well... that's it. Germany 0, Italy 2... the dream of the world cup championship, bursted in the last two minutes of a 120 minutes game... and what a great game. It was very exciting, two vey strong teams, but the Italian team simply had more resources in the end. They deserve their success just like Germany would have had. It's kinda depressing, sorry if it might sound exaggerated to some people here who don't like or don't know much about soccer, but it means a lot over here. During the last three weeks this team, this whole world cup has caused changes in the people around here in the way Germans look at their own country...
I've seen... people hanging German flags out of their windows, they drive around with little German flags on their cars, they put black-red-gold makeup into their faces, decorate their homes, their neighbourhood, they sing the national anthem, they are proud to be German... and that is something you do not see very much over here.
While many of my friends in the US probably observe a behavior like that at least once a year, on this day, on their Independance Day (or in some cases throughout the whole year), Germans pretty much never showed any pride in their country. "Good remember what that led to in the past?" some might say... and some actually said, but it's not that easy of a subject. After the terrible crimes committed in our past, Germans saw that they had no reason to be proud of their country... where so many terrible things happened. This feeling is transfered from generation to generation... my own grandfather's were still kids when the Second World Wat ended, still the feeling of guilt weighs heavy even on our generation... and that is good... at least I think it is. Shame is the best way never to forget or repeat a mistake one comitted. Unlike the common thought that Germans never dealt with their past, that this past is actually hidden from children (Yeah I've talked to people in the US who actually claim that or even report it on TV) Germany has come quite far concerning that. From the 8 years I had history classes back in school, 3 alone were reserved for the time from 1910 to 1945. Like I said there is nothing wrong with remembering the past and a good deal of guilt does not hurt either.. but what about the good things? What about the psoitive effects Germany and Germans had on this world... Pride... that was something nobody here even wanted to claim, fearing to be branded as a right wing idiot or a nazi. But this world cup so far changed things... people take pride in what Germany has achhieved... I'm not only talking here about the German team, but also about organizing all this, working together, having people come to this country and say "Hey, those guys are actually pretty nice." (not to mention: "You mean you guys eat and drink stuff BESIDES sauerkraut, sausage and beer? wow!")... I hope this process continues... I hope Germans can be a bit proud to be Germans again.

... now... I was talking about soccer wasnt I? <..< Sorry about that. Maybe the lost game just threw me a bit too deep into thoughts. ;P Well the games go on. Now that Italy is inthe final, I hope they win, so we can at least claim having lost against the champions. XP Go Italy!

Semifinal
And again... four teams leave, four go on... and what an interesting combination. Judging from the last bets, I probably wasn't the only one being surprised by the parting of England and Brazil... honestly they have both not been playing very well during the previous games, but I assumed they'd show some more effort during the quarterfinals... oh well. While Brazil simply played really bad, the English team wasn't prepared enough for the penalty, they never seem to have luck with that... of course I'm pretty happy with Germany heading to the semifinal (yaaaaaaaayyyy)! After the final expect no quick update from me, because I'm gonna be in Berlin along with 2 million other fans to celebrate. ;P

Aaaanyways: Due to these unexpected outcomes, not really that many points were gained... or lost... but it all got the more interesting. ;) The top five of the list are pretty close together... so these last games will decide. Kinuki still leading with DF getting pretty close. ^^

First Bet Results - Quarterfinal here we come!
Okay, the Final 16 are over and besides the match Switzerland-Ukraine all of them were very interesting... I'm a bit disappointed that Australia had to leave. They were definitely the better team throughout the game... and Italy shouldn't be too proud to win against them through a penalty that shouldn't have been given in the first place. But that's the way things go sometimes unfortunately. :/

Aaaaanyways... on to the results. To all those who took part in the bet, I posted a detailed reply of the results, your guess and the resulting points as a reply to each of your comments in my last entry. Here's a first lineup. Congrats to [info]kinuki who currently is ontop of the list and guessed 3 (!) results completely correct. Way to go there. 3 out of 8 is damn good. ;)

[info]kinuki 13 freaking points!
[info]lupineangel 10 points
[info]crimson_beast 10 points
[info]viciouslupus 8 points
[info]laimika_lion 7 points
[info]akuro 6 points
[info]kobanal4 points
Tihsahn 4 points
[info]chaz_riker 3 points

Of course, even if your results are not that good yet, keep in mind that there are still 8 more games left! Everything is still open. Those at the bottom can rise to the top and of course it can happen the other way around too. That's the fun with this kind of things. ;)

Now here are the games of the Quarterfinal. They take place on friday and saturday, so please reply with your guessed results by then. Right now would be best!

6/30
Germany - Argentina
England - Portugal

7/1
Italy - Ukraine
Brazil - France

Soccer anyone? - Akuro's Betting Office
Man... about time I update here eh? Life has been ery busy for me now that I'm back in Germany... looking for a new university and looking for a job until I can start my studies again take up a lot of time and while my mother is recovering from her surgery, there still is a lot of stuff I have to do here at home... since Im the only one able to do them. No lazy time for the dragon. :P

But the reason I write this entry is a different one. As some of you might know, there's the Soccer World Cup 2006 taking place in Germany at the moment. Friday night the group games will end and the last sixteen teams will be announced. Now I am offering a little game here to finally be more active on LJ again AND offer you some fun.

It is pretty easy: There are going to be 16 games, starting on Saturday. I'm gonna post a list of the games... and you guess the results. For a correct guess you'll get 3 points, for the correct goal difference (for example 1:3 instead of 2:4) 2 points and for the correct winning team 1 point. After the final game I will add all points you got and whoever got most points, receives A FREE COMMISSION.

So... it's fun, you can't lose anything, but win a free (crappy) pic by me. Just leave me a reply whether you're interested or not... and no worries if you have no clue about soccer, it's a matter of chance sometimes too... and from my experiences especially those people who have no clue what they are doing, win this sort of thing. ;)

Moved out - Last Week Started
Susi and I moved our stuff out of our apartment yesterday, got everything nicely cleaned up and such... man you would not believe what a wolf and a dragon can hoard within two semesters. :P We actually planned to be out of the apartment and on our way to his parents by 4 pm, but with every box we put into te jeep, we realized more and more we wouldn't have enough space... so his parents kindly took the two hour drive to Hilo and helped us out. I invited the wolfy and his parents out for dinner after that. Thought it would be a nice thing to do after all the help they gave us and the fact that they bear with me for one more week under their roof. ;) Well finally around 8:30 pm we left, tired and sore...

It was weird to say it in the last... I felt very sad... leaving this town I spent in so many months.. my first own apartment, a place Susi and I created to live in, friends... and just the place in general. It was not the kind of regret I felt when I left my hometown last summer... more like the regret of possibly having missed something... well I know I'll return someday. This place is not draonsave anymore!

Well sadness vanished pretty soon though. It was a nice clear night with a full moon and the part we drove along the coast was just breathtaking... and I was with Susi... that's all that counted to me. Today in one week I'll be on my way back to Germany... away from these people and this place I learned to love so much... and while I'm sad about this: I know it's no goodbye. Susi and I will find together again... and I know I'll meet all my dear friends here again as well. Especially you Timber. ^^

Thank you guys for all the support. It means a lot.
I just wanted to let you know that Susi and I are not addicted to the bottle yet, no worries. ;) It's not like you turn into an alcoholic automaticly when drinking something... and I know better than looking for solutions to my problems in alcohol. Just felt good to numb the pain for a while.
We won't give up that easily. We've both fought too hard for giving up here. No matter what the near future will hold for us, I know I will enjoy every single second I have with him... and I will fight.

Fuck it...
Some of you know that whether I would stay in Hawaii for the next year was kind of questionable since with the high tuitions over here I needed a scholarship to pay for another year. So now I'm officially fucked over. I went to the scholarship office this afternoon to ask for help with contacting a last scholarship organization. From the 2 only scholarships I could have applied for as a european student, this was the only one left and they simply gave me no reply to my e-mails after I applied 2 months ago. So I finally got a direct telephone number and called from ths scholarship office to ask about my application status. The woman on the other end sounded pretty annoyed that I had the nerve to call them directly, but she looked up my status anyways.
"Sir, I see you are from Germany. I am very sorry, but we already fulfilled our quota for European students for the next semester." WHAT THE FUCK? They have a quota? "Well we offer two scholarships to European students in the university of hawaii system each semester, fourteen for asian-pacific students and... " WHAT THE FUCK? Why do asian-pacific students receive seven times more scholarships than europeans do? I thought equal chances and all that stuff. Didn't I work just as hard to get here? Didn't I work just as hard to get a high GPA to qualify for scholarships and financial aid? It's a 3.94 GPA for fuck's sake! ...and it worth shit. All the hard work, all the hours I spend on papers and projects and learning for tests... worth nothing if I can't stay with the one person I love the most in this world. Have I come all this way, have I established myself so well just so I can be ripped out of this again? Leaving Susi here behind and moving back to Germany to live with my parents and go to university there? Waking up every morning and not seeing the face right next to me that gave me the strength to work for all this... going to bed each night alone again... I love my wolf so very much and all I ever want is to make him happy... but how can I do so when I'm on the other side of the globe? I feel like a huge disappointment...
To put the cherry on the top of the cake my tickets back to Germany arrived in the mail today. I planned to visit my family and friends this summer... and come back next fall... screw all this. I have a paper and a presentation due to tomorrow, but why the fuck should I bother working for a university that is not interested in supporting the students who need support? I don't know where to go from here... luckily Span left enough alcohol here to last for a while.

Silent Hill
Went to see Silent Hill with Susi and our beloved guest [info]thespaniard84 this evening. Was a good movie... not the best I ever watched but not the worst either. Might be due to the fact that I never played a single Silent Hill game. The special effects were nifty though and so were the monsters (90% real actors Span told me), the music was the best part in my opinion. ;P* shrugs* I'm more a guy for funny movies or that sappy shit... or horror movies without all this bloody stuff. :P Some is okay, but when it's flowing like in this movie... meh. The meat-flying, blood-spraying and eyeball-popping kind of horror movie is definitely not my favourite. Then again.. since this pic
we all know I'm a big wuss. <..<

In other news.... tomorrow (saturday) is a special woof's birthday. *looks at him peacefully sleeping on the bed* So tell him hi and give him all the hugs and pies and slimings he deserves... and that's a lot. Happy birthday my Susi. :) Love you lots.

V For Vendetta
Susi, Timber and I just came home from watching V For Vendetta. All I have to say: GO, WATCH IT. It's rare a movie keeps me that entertained and thinking at the same time. I went there to see the action scenes I saw in the trailer and got so much more. I don't want to spoil it, so I won't say too much. Just check out the trailers at http://vforvendetta.warnerbros.com/trailer.html .

Although the movie was made by the guys who produced Matrix, they keep the action scenes on a credible level, but they remain impressive nonetheless. The plot is a bit complicated, but not to a confusing degree. The message presented by this movie is really one to think about and while they keep the whole movie dramatic and serious, they also have their funny moments (no movie perfect without those).

All in all: 10 out of 10 on Ku's movie rating. :D

And since it's just 10:15 here I'm officially still in time to wish everybody a HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!! I expected more people to wear green when I went to university this morning, but I guess it's not such a big hype here on Hawaii. ;P However... I might not be Irish, but I'm German and for Germans every reason to drink beer is a good reason... so: Cheers! Prost! or whatever you say!

The bet is on!
Bet between Susi and me after watching this:

Yakko's World!

From today on in two weeks, I will be able to sing this song as a whole without any mistakes, forwards and backwards... well maybe just forwards.

Don't ask why I wanna do this, I have no clue. I'm already kinda busy with classes and stuff, but I miss doing stupid stuff like that. Used to do it with one of my friends back in Germany all the time... oh the memories... the stupidity... well anyways. Two weeks!

Everything set for the next semester
So... everything is set for the next semester to start. I finally decided on all the classes I'm gonna/ have to take. Took my writing placement exam on Tuesday and classified for an English 100 cours, although I don't quite get why I have to take another test and even a whole class to improve my English skills although I scored nearly 100% on the English test I took last year in order to apply for this university anyways... oh well. Guess logic doesn't take me far when it comes to university stuff. :P Besides that...

Marine Biology
Marine Biology Lab
Botany
Botany Lab
Hawaiian II
and English 100

Marine Biology Lab is bound to be a blast. I'm really looking forward to it. :) I'll keep on taking Hawaiian for you don't get far with a language if you took it only for one semester... and I like my co students and my grunting teacher there. :P

So I plan to spend my last few days of christmas break as relaxing as possible. Planned to enjoy the beach and the sun a little bit today, but lucky me it was pouring... my luck I guess. :/ Susi is visitng his parents until sunday so I have the apartment for me. Kinda boring, but feels good to have some time on my own too. So I'll feed on premade salad, microwave food and remaining christmas cookies for the next few days... mmmm...
